ROBIN Newton East Belfast DUP MLA has welcomed announced investment in the Ballyhackanore Post Office to modernise and improve customer service.

Robin Newton said,

“I am pleased this busy Post Office serving Ballyhackamore and the wider community is to be upgraded. This investment to create a modern business environment with longer opening hours will mean the branch closing for one week. It is planned to close Monday 20 April at 5.30pm and open on the 27th April.

The upgrade is being done as part of the Post Office Ltd investment and modernisation across the UK.  It is good the Ballyhackamore customers will benefit from the Post Office’s planned programme.

Post Offices are more than a place to buy a stamp. They are an essential part of community and business life and contribute to the success of a localised economy. When done this up to date facility will give a boost and confidence to businesses in the fast improving Ballyhackamore area.”
