A fully integrated approach to recruitment and training is being sought for the proposed IKEA East Belfast superstore.
At a meeting held today between DUP MLA, Robin Newton and the management of Swedish-owned IKEA, the east Belfast representative urged the company to begin work right away on several important aspects of staff recruitment.
Robin Newton, who has already welcomed the Swedish company’s proposed development, repeated that such a step would be a major confidence boost for unemployed people in the local estates and inner city areas, but only if it was done as a partnership.
